Getting Involved

Support and service to an organization you believe in is not just something that we ask of Children’s Workshop Montessori parents; it is a core lesson we teach our students beginning at the earliest level. Our students are groomed in an environment that values helpfulness, and they are given daily opportunities to aid their peers at school. These experiences shape them, and they leave us ready, willing, and able to contribute to the society through a lifetime of leadership and service.

At CW, we ask parents to engage in this same lesson. Through your gifts of time, talent, and resources, you show your meaningful support of this school and the work we do. Volunteer opportunities are many, and are distributed by the Room Parents before school starts. We encourage you to get involved in your child’s school.

Support of CW’s fundraising effort is equally important. It is a long-term financial goal of the school to fully cover basic operating expenses through tuition and fee payments and earned income. Fundraising makes up the difference between covering basic expenses and positioning CW to have financial stability and flexibility that allows it to fulfill its mission and serve its students. It is our hope that every CW family will contribute an amount that is meaningful for them.

What makes Montessori education unique?

In Montessori, we follow the child rather than follow the curriculum. A Montessori school is completely child-centered -- we teach each child according to their specific needs to help them reach their full potential.

A Parent’s Perspective

"Our experience at Children's Workshop has been fantastic. The program is a true Montessori program, different from the chain programs that call themselves such. The staff is well prepared and loving. The children learn to become a part of a social family, while thriving academically. As parents, we have benefited not only from the school, but also from the fellowship with other parents. It is a joy to have found Children's Workshop Montessori! I highly recommend it!"
