Tuition & Fees

Tuition
Children’s workshop strives to provide children with the best Montessori education possible, and this is only accomplished by attracting and retaining the best faculty and staff through competitive wages and benefits. Tuition for the school year can be paid on a semester or monthly basis. Semester payments are due September 9, 2011 and January 2, 2012. Monthly tuition is billed at the beginning of each month, starting September 6, 2011 and ending May 1, 2012. Payments over one week late are assessed an additional $10 fee. Enrollment may be terminated if payment is overdue by two weeks. A $20 fee will be charged on any returned check. If two checks are returned, CW will refuse any further payment by check.

A one-time, non-refundable, new applicant fee of $50 must accompany the Application for Admission. After acceptance, a registration fee of $250 is required with a signed tuition agreement. This fee is non-refundable and is required yearly for returning students.

Extra Hours Requests
For care beyond your contract, there is a fee of $10.00 per hour, and this is billed monthly. It is important that the school maintain the ratio of adults to children required by the State of Minnesota, so extra hours may not always be available. Extra Hours Requests received the same day will be charged at $15.00 per hour. Children not contracted for AM Care who are dropped off before 8:15 am without notice will be charged a $25 fee plus $15 per hour. Children not contracted for PM Care who are here after 3:30 p.m. will be charged a $25 fee plus $15 per hour.

Tuition Assistance
Scholarships are offered to all eligible families to the extent that funds are available. Eligibility is determined in part by application through School and Student Service for Financial Aid, which must be submitted to them no later than June 1, along with the $35 per-family application fee. Applications must be filled out online at http://sss.nais.org. Initial award notifications will be made by May 15. Priority is given to applications from returning households, especially for those with children in their final year. Families must apply each year to receive consideration.
