Children’s Workshop is committed to an economically diverse student body and welcomes the opportunity to provide financial support where needed to help families send their children to the school.
Families who expect to have difficulty paying full tuition are encouraged to apply for tuition assistance, which consists of financial awards that do not need to be repaid.
Priority is given to returning families, especially to those with children entering their leadership year (kindergarten). Because families’ financial status can change from year to year, families must reapply for tuition assistance on a yearly basis.
Eligibility is determined primarily by application through School and Student Services, which must be filled out online at http://sssbynais.org/parents. There is an application fee.
Every family’s financial situation is unique. Therefore, income alone does not determine need. Other assets, family size, and unusual expenses are all additional factors, which affect a family’s ability to pay full tuition. It is the family’s responsibility to make the school aware of these additional factors during the application process.
We are also happy to partner with the Caring for Kids Initiative (CfKI), and have increased our available tuition assistance funds through a grant form the Hiawatha Education Foundation (HEF). By forging these relationships we are able to support families that demonstrate need and want Montessori for their family.
