Giving

Every gift matters.

As parents, faculty, staff, and friends of Children’s Workshop we have the opportunity to make a true difference in the daily lives of our children and those yet to be a part of the CW community. Each gift has a lasting impact on the children and future children at Children’s Workshop.

As a non-profit school, Children’s Workshop Montessori (CW) relies on gifts of time, talent, and financial support to ensure continued excellence and growth in our programming. Friends, faculty, staff, alumni, grandparents, parents – each of our gifts are essential to the vibrancy and sustainability of Children’s Workshop.

If you are interested in learning more about the essential nature of giving to non-profit schools take a moment to read this article called the Gifts that Give Back. It is a great guide to understanding why gifts of time, talent, and financial support are so important.

Please consider how you might be able to help support CW in the important work we do every day.

There are many ways to give:

Gifts of Financial Support
As in all non-profit schools, gifts of financial support ensure that the vibrant CW community continues to offer an exceptional education to every child. Each year, community members are asked to give to the extent that they are able. You can give during our annual giving campaign or any time of year online. Just click the “donate” button in the sidebar on this page.

Gifts of Time and Talent
Volunteerism is an essential part of CW. There are many ways that you can lend a hand and your talents are unique and exceptionally valuable. From bringing in library books, to helping run the annual auction – each contribution helps make CW stronger. Visit the Getting Involved page of the website to learn more about ways to get involved. And why.

Gifts through Shopping Loyalty Programs
There are ways to give to CW that do not cost you anything! When you shop a percentage of the proceeds go to Children’s Workshop. All you have to do is sign up for the loyalty programs, at certain stores, in order for CW to benefit. Here are the ways that you can help CW.

  • Do you shop on Amazon.com? If so, sign up for AmazonSmile and select Children’s Workshop as your charity and .5% of most purchases go to directly to Children’s Workshop.
  • If you have a TargetRed card you can participate in the Take Charge of Education program. Designate CW (school code: 894) to receive 1% of your REDcard purchases. Sign up here.
  • For Small Hands is a great company to shop when looking for gifts for young children. Mention that you are a part of Children’s Workshop when you order and we get a percentage of the proceeds. Look for catalogs at CW in November.
  • Shop the October book fair at CW. Our book fair is run by Usborne publishers, which offers phenomenal literature, activity books, and games for children. The quality of the publications is hard to match.
  • Bring in Box Tops for education. They are printed on most boxed cereals and dry goods. Just cut them out and bring them in!

What makes Montessori education unique?

In Montessori, we follow the child rather than follow the curriculum. A Montessori school is completely child-centered -- we teach each child according to their specific needs to help them reach their full potential.

A Parent’s Perspective

"Our experience at Children's Workshop has been fantastic. The program is a true Montessori program, different from the chain programs that call themselves such. The staff is well prepared and loving. The children learn to become a part of a social family, while thriving academically. As parents, we have benefited not only from the school, but also from the fellowship with other parents. It is a joy to have found Children's Workshop Montessori! I highly recommend it!"
