How To Apply

Children’s Workshop Montessori is not a daycare. We are a school. Therefore, our admission policies and procedures more closely reflect those of other independent schools than a traditional daycare.

1.

Parent Tour

We invite all prospective families to schedule a tour of Children’s Workshop Montessori before submitting an application. During your visit, you’ll have the opportunity to explore our thoughtfully prepared Montessori classrooms, learn more about our philosophy, and experience our warm school community firsthand.

Schedule a Tour

To schedule your visit, please contact our Admissions team at Admissions@cwmontessori.org or call us at 763-577-4244. We look forward to welcoming your family!

2.

Application for Admission

Following a school tour, families may submit an Application for Admission. A non-refundable $60 application fee must be submitted with the application for consideration. If an opening is not currently available, the application will be placed on our waiting list.

3.

Child Visit

Once an Application for Admission has been received, the school will contact you to schedule a Child Visit for children applying to the Toddler or Children’s House Communities. These visits are typically scheduled at 4:00 p.m. during the school year and provide an opportunity for your child to experience our Montessori environment firsthand.

4.

Admissions Decision

After your child’s visit, the school will notify you of the admissions decision. If your child is accepted, you will receive a Tuition Agreement to review, sign, and return along with the applicable Materials Fee to secure your child’s enrollment. If these items are not received by the designated deadline, the placement will be forfeited.

5.

Registration

Upon receipt of the Tuition Agreement and Materials Fee, you will be sent Registration Forms, as required by licensing, that must be completed and returned by the designated date.

6.

Phase-in & Orientation

Once all Registration Forms have been received, you will receive a Phase-In Schedule for your child. The phase-in process is required for all new children and is designed to help them gradually become comfortable in their new Montessori environment.

CW will admit students of any race, color, national, and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities available to all students of the school. CW does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national/ethnic origin, or religious affiliation in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship awards, and other school-administered programs.

“The staff and the learning environment are incredible--nurturing and professional. Our son is two years old, and he has grown in wonderful ways while at CW. He has learned skills, while also gaining an appreciation for the community.

We feel very fortunate to be enrolled here. CW is among a small number of certified Montessori schools in the area.”

“My two daughters thrive at this school. Highly recommend it. The guides are very good to our children and our children are clearly well taken care of!"
